Naturalist Program July 13, 2019

10:00 am Echo Rock Trail and Part of Ishnala Trail – Meet at the Echo Rock Trailhead at the upper boat landing parking lot – look for the sign

Travel back in time to learn how Mirror Lake was formed.  Explore the wildflowers, smell the fresh pine trees, walk through the cool Ishnala Gorge and Echo Rock.  This is a 2.4 mile hike.

 

 

1:00 pm Bugs, Bugs, and More Bugs  Beach Area watch for the Naturalist Flag

Stop by to learn what bugs live at the park, what bugs do to help the forest, learn what they eat, learn who eats them, share your stories of what you have found so far in the park, pick up some wild cards of bugs.  See you then.  (Rain location: Park Office)

 

 

7:00 pm International Wolf Center Presentation – Ampitheather

Please join Debbie and Jerry as they discuss the habits and biology of wolves, how they hunt, what they eat, what wild lands they need, and human interactions/impacts.  There will be a powerpoint and videos of these magnificent creatures.  (Rain location:  Blue Water Bay Shelter, near the shower building)
